It's the long term versus the short term: in the short term, he would have the most amazing sex of his life and then be severely beaten for it by Uranus and Jupiter, then lose Mars's trust forever after the spell was lifted; in the long term, he might - MIGHT - get the amazing sex without the downside. Possibly.
