He really is very sad. Honestly, I'm glad nobody's accused me of making Jupiter OOC (so far) but I so often see her written as the calm, mature one and... I feel like Nephrite would bring out the worst in her in some ways. Things would definitely get worse before they got better

I intend to write a short to show how he and Venus did end up spending the night together because I realised as I finished that Kunzite was still too angry with Jadeite and Zoisite to leave Nephrite to sleep on his own. I'm guessing that's why people are so forgiving of this, because they know the cockblocking is temporary. *lol* And I'm going to tag this series 'golden city'. :)
