Why does Rory/Eleven make so much sense?

sharkshark asked a similiar question and I wish I had an answer, but I don't know! Maybe it's because Rory's a nurse and so there's a basic sympathy between them. Maybe it's just because Matt and Arthur have some MAJOR MAJOR CHEMISTRY between them.

Moff needs to go there, even if it's subtle enough so the kids don't notice. :D

There were already some amazing moments in the VERY FIRST EPISODE ("Rory, why is everyone annoyed with me?") so I have some hope there might be a brief reference. XD
