DH COUNTDOWN

TWO DAYS TO GO! And I'm going home tomorrow in order to get the book.

Oh God, Jo, Kate, I wish I could be with one of you, it would mean so much to get the final book with one of my HP friends, but there you go. :/

The Final Filk

I hope this expresses the thoughts of all of us who have waited so long to find out the answers.

To the tune of My Way:

Jo's Way

And now, the end is near;
And so we face the final curtain.
My friends, I'll say it clear,
There's just one thing of which I'm certain.

We've read every book we can,
And greeted each tragic death with "No way!";
And more, much more than this,
We did it Jo's way.

Plot threads, yes, there's a few
To be wrapped up that I could mention.
Like Snape and what he did,
And is he truly beyond redemption?

She planned each chapter's course;
Each ship and every confrontation,
But more, much more than this,
She did it her way.

Yes, there were times when we all knew
That Harry bit off more than he could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
He ate it up and spit it out.
He faced it all and he stood tall;
And did it Jo's way.

We've loved, we've laughed and cried.
We've suffered deaths and seen ships sinking.
And now, as tears subside,
There's just one thing that I am thinking:

To see she did all that,
I think it's really quite amazing
And I have to tip my hat:
She knows how to drive us crazy.

Against the Dark Lord, what's Harry got?
He's got the power that the Dark Lord knows not.
He'll say the things he truly feels,
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows he took the blows -
And did it Jo's way!
