Donna is made of win, it is a universal fact that cannot be denied. But yeah, it would be hard to watch DW at the moment if you don't like David Tennant. I don't hate him but I liked Christopher Eccleston better and I'm getting a bit fed up with David (a shame, as I think he's a good actor and have liked him in all the other parts I've seen). I suppose I just feel that RTD chickened out again with Donna: he said that Rose would die at the end of S2 and she didn't (much to many people's disappointment); then he said the "most faithful companion" would die, except she didn't, she just forgot what had happened, and I know that is a kind of death, but as far as I'm concerned, RTD just wriggled out of actually killing someone again. If you say someone is going to die, they should DIE. Kick the bucket, pop their clogs, hop the twig, shuffle off their mortal coil. You know? DEATH. Not some ridiculous "oh well, it is like death if you look at this way", a proper DEATH. ¬_¬
I thought making Zach the Apprentice was appalling. A terrible thing to do to his character (he's never been a rationalising monster, the role he plays in the show is the INNOCENT).
It's funny you should say that, I was just thinking last night that Zach is the Galahad of the show, pure and focused. Or maybe Percival, because Percival was a little bit silly sometimes, like Zach. That started me trying to match up the other characters with Arthurian characters: I got as far as Cam being Morgan Le Fay, Brennan being the Lady of the Lake and Booth being Gawain. I think Hodgins would be a good Merlin.
