YOU. need to write more fics. Especially ones with Rory and the Doctor in them.
It's funny. Normally, I'm just simply not a slash person. But there's something about these two... let's just say that while I knew I liked their interactions last series, I knew for sure I was a fan of this pairing when I uncontrollably squeed when Eleven FINALLY gave Rory a kiss on the head last ep.
There is something strangely natural about their interactions. I dunno, maybe it's because the fact that Rory finds enough heart to care about the Doctor despite his still somewhat present wariness he has with him because of Amy, and the fact the Doctor seems to go out of his way to try make Rory feel welcome.
In any case, I love the set up, where Rory, using his wonderful observation skills and nurse instincts, feels the need to comfort the Doctor (also, you need to write fic about Amy and Rory stumbling across the Doctor's companion hall of fame) and they just end up falling into this situation.
And of course when the Doctor likes people, he likes them for who they are! It's never been any different. I think Rory still needs to learn that.
the same look from when he’d first stood inside the TARDIS, the same look from when he was a plastic centurion who’d just killed the love of his life. Brave and honest and yet full of doubt about himself.
I loved this observation.
They had marvelous interaction in the two parter, let's hope it continues through the series.
