4. It's tu l'as connue, because Paris is a) la capitale and even if it weren't it's still b) la ville. You add an 'e' on the end because the definite article (l) is feminine. :)

7. Really? Is there a large French population in LA? We're usually more aware of the Hispanic over here.

4. Oops - well, what I meant was to ask "You knew [that I was going], right?" - maybe I should have said, "Tu l'a connu," using an object in any case... hmm... "Tu as connu que je vais, oui?"
7. I don't know what that French school is doing down there. They could be raising Bengal tigers for all I know. (That'd be so cool! Can you imagine?) I don't know any of the kids there, so I don't know if they're French or not - we do have a lot of Hispanics. I'm not French myself, if you were wondering. I'm Lebanese, and we Lebanese were colonized by the French a long time ago (you know that French kiss-kiss greeting? They picked it up over there), and I'm Irish, and we Irish... um... have something to do with the Gauls, but I'm not sure what. :)

Oh! You meant to say "You knew that". Well, in that case, you use 'savoir'. You always use 'savoir' unless it's to do with people, places or languages. In which case, oui, je le savais. ;)

Lebanese-Irish, huh? What an interesting mix! And the Irish were Celtic, just like the Gauls (and still are), but that's the only connection. ;)
