1. That dirty drawing wasn't the first: Gene actually has a whole pad of them, but he didn't do those at work.

2. Gene misses Sam Tyler more than he misses his wife.

3. If anyone had got in Gene's way when he was trying to rescue Alex, he would have killed them with no remorse whatsoever.
