Congrats. I'm a little jealous too. I would like to own my own home soon. Maybe next year? (Mortage payments just scare me on my current income.) 'Til then, I'll just live vicariously through you.

Congratulations on your new home. I hope you enjoy it and your new neighbors. Do you have marvelous new plans for decorating it now that it is yours. In my experience I had blown all my money buying the place, so plans had to wait, but paint is cheap.

Thanks, Vega! There are lots of cats around, so even if I can't own one, I can still enjoy their company!

First, we have to get all the storage sorted: more shelves, another chest of drawers for my winter clothes, a new bathroom cabinet and refitting the work surface in my kitchen so that it fits with my cooker. :) I'm not really thinking about decorating at the moment. But that time will come, oh yes.

Yeah, you have all the things you have to do to make the place live-able. I would put the new bathroom cabinet and refitting the work surface in the redecorating category, even though they are necessities.

I should have been more specific - I don't HAVE a work surface at the moment, so it really is necessary! Dad had to take it off to fit the cooker in!

I am a cat lover. I also love dogs but I would only have one if I was able to have a job that allowed me to stay at home. I don't think it's fair to own a dog when you have a full-time job.
